Patent roadmap agreed at Geneva meeting

At a meeting at the ITU in Geneva, Apple, Nokia, Ericsson, Microsoft, Samsung, Research in Motion, Motorola Mobility and several other key industry players and government regulators agreed on a roadmap to address the main concerns related to standards-essential patents: the conditions under which companies that have made Reasonable And Non-Discriminatory (RAND) commitments should be allowed to seek injunctions; and clarification of the meaning of the word "reasonable" in RAND.
