Aircell: On U.S. Planes, VoIP Will Be Muted

Aircell provides WiFi services on American Airlines planes, but explicitly banned VoIP, saying that American did not want customers talking on the phone. Well, it took no time at all for people to figure out how to get around the restrictions and there will always be ways around any blocking measure. But, in spite of the fact that airlines outfit planes with "air phones" in seats, American and Aircell is intent on blocking those annoying phone calls, saying they will go so far as to make it unusable. Sounds like they will deliberately drop packets and create a horrible service.
