Qwest Raises Bid, Chides MCI Board

Qwest raised its takeover bid for MCI, this time to $8.9 billion or $27.50 per MCI share. At the same time, Qwest expressed disatisfaction to the MCI board for not giving it further consideration and holding private talks with Verizon.
